Job Description
Software Tester validating digital solutions for U.S. Army Human Resources Command. Developing test plans, executing automated and functional tests, and analyzing defects for release readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee quality control activities associated with software analysis
- Develop test plans
- Perform exploratory testing
- Execute functional and regression testing
- Work closely with software developers and product management to ensure the product is ready for release
- Conduct thorough software testing and analyze data
- Check software functionality across different browsers
- Communicate software testing results to stakeholders and suggest areas for improvement
- Execute software test cases and automated tests based on customer specifications and requirements
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and bugs to identify and mitigate risks
- Conduct exploratory and usability testing to locate bugs before production
- Execute comprehensive testing to ensure all features function as designed
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software testing methodologies
- Develop standard operating procedures when necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer Tester
- Active Secret clearance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active CompTIA Security+ certification
- Aptitude for testing software quality and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
- Understanding of JavaScript, C#, Java, NodeJS, and Angular
- Strong understanding of logic
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Proficiency in writing detailed descriptions
- Experience with Azure DevOps is a bonus
- Experience with Amazon AWS is a bonus
- Knowledge of computer architecture and manual and automated testing tools
- Knowledge of unit, integration, functional, and bug-tracking testing
- Demonstrated success in software development lifecycle management (SDLC)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical soundness, and data analysis
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Relevant testing certifications include CSTE, ISTQB Agile Tester Certification, or CAST
