Job Description
Remote Special Education Compliance Specialist teaching course content online for Texas Virtual Academy. Delivering instruction, managing learning processes, and supporting special education needs via IEPs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specific course content in an online environment
- Provide instruction, support, and guidance
- Manage the learning process and focus on students’ individual needs
- Work actively with students and parents to advance learning
- Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and other documentation
- Facilitate collaborative special education meetings
- Make modifications and accommodations to lessons and assessments
- Collect data to monitor student progress
- Maintain gradebook ensuring academic integrity
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Active State Special Education teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
