Job Description

Director of Specialty Care Field Medical managing therapeutic expertise across external medical stakeholders. Leading strategic planning and execution for Pfizer in a remote capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic area/product expertise across a broad range of external medical stakeholders
  • Plan and execute independent Medical strategies and engagements within a territory
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant TA/disease states and Pfizer medicines
  • Serve as a resource for Medical Information and stakeholder insights
  • Develop educational content strategy and execute Field Medical tactics
  • Conduct scientific communication across multiple channels
  • Optimize patient care improvement in Medical communications
  • Educate external medical stakeholders based on patient care gaps
  • Achieve leadership-defined expectations regarding stakeholder engagement
  • Deliver approved medical content about Pfizer medicines
  • Identify and seek scientific engagement from priority external medical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with US and Global Medical Affairs for clinical trial site identification
  • Support through the Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health science required
  • PharmD, PhD, or equivalent terminal doctoral degree (e.g., Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Physical Therapy) highly preferred
  • PharmD/PhD with 5+ years of experience, MBA/MSc with 7+ years of experience, BA/BSc with 8+ years of experience
  • Subject matter expert recognized across internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to understand and respond to multiple external and internal stakeholders’ demands
  • Ability to manage a significant volume of projects in a remote environment
  • Ability to prioritize, implement, and demonstrate excellent judgment skills
  • Ability to work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team
  • Proven ability to lead change in an evolving external health care environment
  • Clinical and technical skills
