Job Description
Staff Accountant responsible for processing finance transactions in a data connectivity company. Overseeing accounts payable and supporting month-end close processes with effective communication.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) process, which includes vendor set-up, processing of expense invoices, coding invoices into NetSuite, and processing biweekly AP payments.
- File annual 1099s for all applicable vendors.
- Manage Concur and process related expense reports each month including corporate card and employee reimbursement expenses.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations to support an efficient and accurate month-end close process including, but not limited to, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, etc.
- Participate in Ad Hoc projects and other tasks as required.
- Develop relationships with other employees throughout CData to drive excellent communication between the finance team and the functional teams across the organization.
- Assist with annual financial statement audit.
- Create and update process narratives for all related finance areas.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of Finance/Accounting experience
- Experience with NetSuite or similar global accounting system is beneficial
- Experience processing accounting transactions and reconciliations to support month end close
- Effective communication skills and natural enjoyment of communicating with the team across the organization and external to the business (customers, vendors, etc.)
- Process oriented thinker with great organizational skills
- Great attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
