Job Description
Tax FP&A Analyst providing dedicated data support to global veterinary producer's Group Tax function. Maintaining compliance data and financial analysis for intercompany transactions and tax reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the Group’s intercompany transaction database, ensuring all intra-group flows (goods, services, royalties, financing) are accurately recorded and categorised.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of net margin per product and perentity profitability analyses required for transactional net margin method (TNMM) and other TP benchmarking exercises.
- Collate and structure the financial inputs required for the annual Local File and Master File preparation, working alongside external advisors (KPMG and PwC) as directed by the Group Tax team.
- Prepare first draft local files for review.
- Monitor and report on intercompany pricing versus approved policy positions, flagging deviations for review.
- Assist in the preparation of comparables data extracts and functional analysis supporting documentation.
- Maintain a comprehensive and current intercompany debt register covering all intra-group loans across both Group perimeters (Bimeda and Sterimol).
- Track principal balances, interest rates, maturity dates, and currency exposures across all intercompany financing arrangements.
- Reconcile loan balances against underlying loan agreements and flag discrepancies for resolution.
- Prepare supporting schedules for intercompany interest calculations and support withholding tax monitoring in relevant jurisdictions.
- Support the Group Tax team in managing the global tax compliance calendar across all jurisdictions, tracking deadlines and ensuring relevant financial data is assembled in advance.
- Prepare and maintain entity-level financial data packs required for local corporation tax filings, ensuring consistency with statutory accounts.
- Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of tax provision data, supporting both the Bimeda and Sterimol provisioning processes.
- Maintain the Rolling Tax Computation Summary, updating actuals and flagging variances for review by the Group Tax Director.
- Compile financial data required for responses to tax authority queries and audit information requests, under the direction of the Group Tax team.
- Interrogate large and complex financial datasets from multiple source systems (ERP, consolidation tools, management accounts) to extract tax-relevant data.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies across entities, currencies, and reporting periods.
- Build and maintain structured Excel-based models and trackers aligned to the Group Tax function’s document suite and governance framework.
- Prepare clear, well-structured outputs for review by PC and ROR, including exception reports, trend analyses, and compliance dashboards.
- Liaise with local Financial Controllers across the Group to collect trial balance data, statutory accounts, and other financial inputs required for tax purposes.
- Follow up on outstanding data requests in a structured and professional manner, escalating delays to the Group Tax team as appropriate.
- Support the standardisation of data collection templates and processes across the Group.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a tax, transfer pricing, or finance analyst role within a multinational, Big 4, or shared services environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting transfer pricing compliance –including data gathering for Local Files, benchmarking support, or intercompany transaction documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel – including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and complex multi-sheet modelling.
- Experience maintaining or managing intercompany debt registers or equivalent structured financial tracking tools.
- Familiarity with OECD transfer pricing principles and the arm’s length standard.
- Excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and process discipline.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills – ability to produce clear outputs for senior tax professionals.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and proactively flag issues.
