Job Description
Tech Lead leading a software engineering team at Wave. Focusing on transforming the telecom market in Brazil and Latin America through technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a software engineering team, acting as the technical and managerial point of reference
- Define and evolve the architecture of distributed systems, ensuring scalability and stability
- Participate in technical deliveries and review code with the team, maintaining high technical standards
- Support strategic technical decisions, evaluating trade-offs and business impact
- Develop and support the growth of the team — hiring, mentoring, and helping each person to progress
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to gather requirements and align expectations
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and autonomy
Requirements:
- Previous experience leading technology teams
- Experience in large-scale, complex projects, including architecture design and distributed systems
- Experience with high-complexity, high-volume environments
- Ability to make strategic technical decisions and balance deadlines, quality, and business impact
- Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication, both with the team and with external stakeholders
- Maturity to handle risks, issues, and uncertainty constructively
- Collaborative mindset, focused on people development and competency growth
- Proactivity, autonomy, and ownership of deliverables
- Adaptable profile, able to handle changing priorities and new challenges
- Solid software engineering fundamentals; knowledge of TypeScript is desirable
