Job Description

Telehealth dietitian providing integrative nutrition counseling for pregnancy, gestational diabetes, and hormone-related conditions. Simplex Health delivers insurance-funded, fully virtual medical nutrition therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide fully virtual telehealth medical nutrition therapy using a functional and integrative approach
  • Focus care primarily on pregnancy and gestational diabetes (GDM)
  • Assess patients’ nutritional health, including prenatal needs, blood sugar regulation, and hormone-related conditions
  • Monitor and review daily blood glucose logs for GDM patients
  • Provide timely feedback, adjustments, and ongoing patient support
  • Educate and train patients on glucose meters and blood sugar monitoring techniques
  • Develop and modify individualized nutrition care plans focused on glycemic control during pregnancy
  • Coordinate care and communicate with referring physicians and healthcare providers
  • Implement Simplex Health protocols and materials
  • Document new and follow-up appointments in the Healthie platform
  • Respond to patient communications in a timely and supportive manner
  • Resolve work-related issues or conflicts
  • Contribute to team collaboration and support team decisions and outcomes
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Stay current with emerging research in women’s health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes care
  • Manage a full and consistent patient caseload with timely follow-ups and continuity of care
  • Maintain at least 15 hours of weekly availability, with potential progression to higher-hour or full-time work
  • Report to the Senior Clinical Director

Requirements:

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN)
  • Current registration with CDR
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania
  • Pennsylvania license and completion of major insurance credentialing required before start
  • At least 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical care
  • Experience or strong interest in prenatal nutrition, gestational diabetes (GDM), or hormone-related conditions
  • Passion for women’s health, pregnancy, and gestational diabetes
  • Integrative and functional nutrition approach to care
  • Minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability
  • Credentialed or open to being credentialed with insurance companies
  • Candidates should not maintain an active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business
  • Evening appointment availability strongly preferred
  • CDCES strongly preferred
  • IFNA Certified preferred; IFNCP credential a plus
  • Candidates actively enrolled in IFNA training welcome
  • Ability to manage a full and consistent patient caseload
  • Strong attention to detail when documenting in the Healthie platform
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and team members
  • Ability to stay current with research in women’s health, prenatal nutrition, and diabetes care
