Job Description
Registered Dietitian providing virtual integrative nutrition counseling through Simplex Health’s insurance-funded telehealth model. Developing personalized care plans and supporting patients with chronic and metabolic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide telehealth medical nutrition therapy using a functional and integrative approach
- Implement Simplex Health protocols, tools, and educational materials
- Assess patients’ nutritional health and develop personalized root-cause care plans
- Create and modify individualized nutrition interventions based on patient needs and goals
- Document new and follow-up appointments in the Healthie platform
- Respond to patient communications
- Collaborate through case discussions, meetings, and shared learning
- Resolve work-related issues and support team outcomes
- Contribute to team environment and ongoing clinical initiatives
- Follow company policies, procedures, and clinical standards
- Stay current with nutrition and health research and best practices
- Manage a consistent patient caseload, timely follow-ups, continuity of care, and patient outcomes
- Maintain at least 12 hours of weekly availability, with opportunity to grow into higher-hour or full-time schedule
Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN)
- At least 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical care
- Current registration with CDR
- Credentialed or open to being credentialed with insurance companies
- Minimum of 12 hours of weekly availability
- Licensed in Pennsylvania before start, or eligible for licensure
- Completion of major insurance credentialing required before start; process may take 3–6 months
- Passion for integrative and functional nutrition
- Experience in clinical or outpatient nutrition counseling
- CDCES strongly preferred
- IFNA Certified; IFNCP credential a plus
- Candidates actively enrolled in IFNA training welcome
- Availability for evening appointments strongly preferred
- Must not maintain an active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business
- Ability to use Healthie platform for documentation
- Ability to provide timely, professional, and supportive patient communication
