Job Description

Telehealth Registered Dietitian delivering integrative nutrition counseling through Simplex Health’s virtual, insurance-funded care model. Building personalized plans and supporting long-term patient health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide telehealth outpatient nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy in an integrative/functional nutrition setting
  • Implement Simplex Health protocols, tools, and educational materials
  • Assess patients’ nutritional health and develop personalized, root-cause care plans
  • Create and modify individualized nutrition interventions based on patient needs and goals
  • Document new and follow-up appointments in the Healthie platform
  • Respond to patient communications
  • Collaborate through case discussions, meetings, and shared learning
  • Resolve work-related issues and support team outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and ongoing clinical initiatives
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and clinical standards
  • Stay current with emerging research and best practices
  • Manage a full and consistent patient caseload with timely follow-ups, continuity of care, and optimal outcomes
  • Maintain at least 12 hours of weekly availability, with potential to grow into a higher-hour or full-time schedule

Requirements:

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN)
  • At least 2 years of experience in outpatient or clinical care
  • Current registration with CDR
  • Credentialed or open to being credentialed with insurance companies
  • Minimum of 12 hours of weekly availability
  • Must not maintain an active private practice or independent nutrition counseling business
  • PA license and completion of major insurance credentialing required before start; credentialing may take 3–6 months
  • Passion for integrative and functional nutrition
  • Experience in clinical or outpatient nutrition counseling
  • CDCES strongly preferred
  • IFNA Certified (IFNCP credential a plus); candidates actively enrolled in IFNA training welcome
  • Evening appointment availability strongly preferred
  • Ability to use Healthie platform for documentation
  • Ability to provide telehealth medical nutrition therapy using a functional and integrative approach
  • Ability to assess nutritional health and develop personalized care plans
  • Ability to create and modify individualized nutrition interventions
  • Strong attention to detail in documentation
  • Timely, professional, and supportive patient communication
  • Ability to stay current with nutrition and health research and best practices
