Job Description
Test Engineer II collaborating with developers to design tests and ensure software quality at CSG. Work involves both manual and automated testing in Agile team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze user requirements and product architecture/design to derive testing requirements
- Design and author test cases for functional and non-functional testing
- Facilitate creation and execution of automated tests and test suites
- Write and execute automated and manual tests as needed
- Utilize innovative test technologies to develop test strategy
- Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness
- Accurately describe technical details and steps to reproduce issues when documenting defects found in code
- Participate in Agile ceremonies
- Keep the Agile team informed of delays in testing activities or issues arising from variances
- Confidently communicate and collaborate with team members
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software testing preferred
- A passion for quality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to decompose complex problems and perform root cause analysis
- Hands-on software testing or development experience on Linux and Windows
- Self-motivated team player with a commitment to continuous learning
- Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies and principles
- Understanding of object-oriented languages such as Python or C# .NET
- Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
- Experience with automation tools or test frameworks (e.g., UFT, CodedUI)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Experience using defect-tracking tools
