Job Description

Trade Compliance Operations Coordinator handling Canadian customs adjustments and audits with a focus on regulatory accuracy and data management. Ensuring compliance with the Customs Act and CARM processes in a remote capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Process the daily flow of Commercial Accounting Declaration (CAD) adjustments and mass corrections.
  • Manage the lifecycle of post-entry corrections, ensuring all filings are submitted accurately.
  • Conduct systematic internal audits of CADs before they are finalized.
  • Identify trends in entry errors and work to resolve them at the source.
  • Manage the administrative submission of Canadian export declarations (CERS).
  • Facilitate daily maintenance within the CARM Client Portal (CCP).

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Canadian customs brokerage operations or a technical compliance role.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Customs Act and the CARM portal.
  • A CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) designation is required.
  • A valid Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) / Qualified Person designation is considered a strong asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) for data reconciliation and experience with modern brokerage software.
