Job Description

UX Designer designing for enterprise software applications within federal government context. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience and interface design.

Responsibilities:

  • Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity, working prototypes to communicate design concepts and ideas.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define design solutions.
  • Design responsive, accessible layouts and interactions.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation and specifications.
  • Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
  • Conduct user research, user interviews, and usability testing to gather feedback and insights that inform design decisions.
  • Work closely with software engineers and QA analysts to ensure successful implementation of design solutions and maintain design consistency throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in UX design, with a focus on enterprise software applications
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your UI design process, problem-solving skills, and the ability to design complex user interfaces.
  • Proficiency with Figma
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience and assessing designing accessible UIs as defined by Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) specifications.
  • A passion for staying up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design.
