Job Description

Vice President of Accounting at American Addiction Centers leading finance operations and managing all aspects of accounting departments. Overseeing GAAP compliance, audit success, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Accounting department, including Accounts Payable and Payroll
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting policies and methods, GAAP compliance, audit success and monthly reporting
  • Report directly to the CFO and serve as a vital member of the leadership team
  • Manage all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, reserves and/or allowances, payables, payroll, financial reporting, and board reporting in tandem with FP&A and Finance Analytics
  • Analyze company's financial results with respect to costs, vendor management and spend, profitability, trend reporting, and the integrity of accruals
  • Lead the team toward a routine, timely and accurate month end close process
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Oversee all aspects of annual audit success
  • Provide data and analysis for ad hoc requests from business partners
  • Develop and lead team of accounting and finance professionals

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance or MBA
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • 12+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience
  • Excellent managerial skills and ability to evaluate the work of others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of organization’s applicable financial practices and procedures
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal rules and regulations
  • Proficient with accounting software and standard office and accounting equipment
