Job Description
Video Editor creating engaging short-form content for a U.S. immigration law firm. Collaborating with marketing team to maintain brand style and optimize audience engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Edit short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Add captions, hooks, and basic motion graphics to enhance viewer engagement
- Repurpose long-form content into concise, high-performing short clips
- Ensure all video content aligns with the firm’s branding, tone, and visual style
- Optimize videos for retention, pacing, and platform-specific best practices
- Manage multiple editing tasks and deliver batches of content within tight deadlines
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand content goals and campaign direction
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and maintain consistent quality across all deliverables
- Stay up to date with social media trends and recommend improvements to content strategy
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in video editing, preferably focused on short-form or social media content (required)
- Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and/or After Effects (required)
- Strong understanding of short-form content structure, including hooks, pacing, and audience retention
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet fast turnaround times
- High attention to detail and consistency in editing style
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and caption styling
- Experience working with international or remote teams is a plus
