Job Description
Latin American Spanish voice actor recording expressive samples for Mercor’s AI research partners. Producing speech data for a client CX AI Agent and next-generation TTS systems.
Responsibilities:
- Record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, instructional, and other scripts
- Deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
- Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
- Follow detailed guidelines for recording environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
- Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when required
- Provide recordings exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent
- Contribute recordings to training and evaluation of next-generation text-to-speech systems
Requirements:
- Native Latin American Spanish speaker currently based in Latin America
- Neutral, internationally intelligible Spanish without a strong regional accent
- Clear, natural, expressive voice
- Professional or near-professional recording setup, including quality microphone and quiet environment
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
- Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery
- Reliable availability for 5–10 hours per week over the project duration
- Must consent to voice cloning for the client's CX AI Agent
- Experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets is preferred
- Familiarity with Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper is preferred
- Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles is preferred
- Independent contractor status
- Unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time
