Job Description
French voice actor recording expressive, neutral speech for Mercor’s AI research partners. Producing voice data for a client’s internal CX AI Agent and TTS systems.
Responsibilities:
- Record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, instructional, and other scripts
- Deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
- Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
- Follow detailed recording guidelines for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
- Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when required
- Contribute recordings for training and evaluating next-generation text-to-speech systems
- Provide voice recordings exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent
Requirements:
- Native or native-level French speaker
- Standard, neutral, accent-free French delivery; no strong regional accent or foreign-language influence
- Clear, natural, and expressive voice
- Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, including quality microphone, quiet environment, pop filter, etc.
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
- Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery
- Reliable availability for 5–10 hours per week over the project duration
- Must be comfortable with voice cloning for the client's CX AI Agent
- Independent contractor status
- Unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time
- Prior voice-acting, narration, or broadcast experience is a plus, not required
- Experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets is preferred
- Familiarity with Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper is preferred
- Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles is preferred
