Job Description
Latin American Spanish voice actor recording expressive samples for Mercor's AI research partners. Contributing to TTS training and a client CX AI Agent through voice cloning.
Responsibilities:
- Record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, instructional, and other diverse scripts
- Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech with control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
- Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions
- Follow detailed recording guidelines covering environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
- Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when required
- Contribute voice recordings for training and evaluating next-generation text-to-speech systems
- Recordings will be used exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent and may be cloned for that use
Requirements:
- Native Latin American Spanish speaker currently based in Latin America
- Ability to speak neutral, internationally intelligible Spanish without a strong regional accent
- Clear, natural, and expressive voice
- Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, including a quality microphone, quiet environment, and pop filter
- Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range
- Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery
- Reliable availability for 5–10 hours per week over the project duration
- Must be comfortable with voice cloning for the client's CX AI Agent
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported
- Preferred: experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets
- Preferred: familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper
- Preferred: ability to deliver multiple vocal styles, including conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm
