Job Description

VP of National Accounts expanding JPI Group Consulting’s national energy-sector sales platform. Originating major utility and energy-efficiency opportunities through senior industry relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and control direct lines to program leaders, senior management, and vendor partners across utilities, implementers, trade providers, energy-efficiency funders, and contractors
  • Identify and shape major national initiatives before competitors know about them
  • Decide which national-scale opportunities are worth pursuing
  • Generate leads and introductions that flow to JPI Group’s sales teams
  • Represent JPI Group at conferences, webinars, and networking events in the energy-efficiency and utility-program space
  • Serve as the face and brand of JPI Group in industry settings
  • Build and expand JPI Group Consulting’s national Energy-sector sales practice

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in business development, national accounts, or senior sales leadership
  • Deep experience in energy, utilities, or energy efficiency
  • Existing network across utilities, implementers, trade allies, energy-efficiency funders, and/or contractors
  • Track record of originating and closing large, multi-stakeholder opportunities
  • Command of the energy-efficiency program landscape, including funding mechanisms, program cycles, and implementer/contractor dynamics
  • Executive presence in boardroom and conference settings
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Ability to communicate with others to exchange information
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Ability to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work
