Job Description
Web Engineer developing and optimizing marketing website for fast-growing legal tech startup. Collaborating closely with the Growth team to enhance web experience and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable WordPress components, templates, and building blocks.
- Develop reusable patterns that enable fast page creation and iteration across the team.
- Partner with design to implement a consistent, on-brand experience across the site and contribute to a shared component library.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build and launch net-new growth experiences, think calculators, dynamic page variants, personalization experiments, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Work with third-party integrations across our martech stack, CRM, analytics, tag management, and ad platforms.
- Use AI-native development tools like Claude Code as a core part of your workflow, moving faster, reducing repetitive work, and raising the quality bar for the team.
- Contribute to automated QA workflows, including end-to-end testing and SEO audits, so the team catches regressions and content issues before they become problems.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in frontend web development, ideally with meaningful time spent on a marketing or growth website.
- Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
- Comfortable working in a CMS environment, WordPress experience is a plus, but if you have strong fundamentals you can pick it up quickly.
- You care about the output, not just the craft, you understand why page speed, SEO, and conversion rate matter, and you tie your work back to those outcomes.
- Comfortable collaborating in Jira and Figma.
- You are genuinely AI-native and are familiar with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
