Job Description
WordPress Developer building custom websites and plugins for a U.S.-based digital solutions agency. Collaborating with teams to create high-quality, user-friendly digital experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and advanced custom fields
- Convert UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect WordPress layouts
- Build or extend custom plugins to support unique client features
- Integrate third-party APIs and marketing tools such as CRM systems, analytics platforms, and automation services
- Optimize sites for speed, security, SEO, and maintainability
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver polished and reliable websites
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical planning and best practices
- Stay updated with WordPress updates, modern web standards, and emerging tools
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Experience with custom themes, custom plugins, and WordPress hooks and filters
- Proficiency with modern page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, or Beaver Builder
- Familiarity with REST APIs, Git workflows, and responsive development
- Ability to work independently in a remote team and communicate effectively
