Job Description
WordPress Engineer building and maintaining CMS-driven web experiences for BrowserStack’s global marketing. Collaborating with engineers, designers, and product teams to deliver reliable WordPress solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain high-quality CMS-driven web experiences that power BrowserStack’s global marketing and product presence.
- Work closely with senior engineers, designers, and product teams to ship fast, responsive, and reliable WordPress solutions.
- Develop and maintain WordPress themes, templates, and plugins.
- Convert designs/wireframes into responsive, production-ready pages.
- Build reusable, clean, and maintainable front-end components.
- Integrate APIs and third-party tools.
- Fix bugs and improve performance, accessibility, and SEO.
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and product teams to ship features quickly.
- Continuously learn and grow under mentorship from senior engineers.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience building websites or web applications
- Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Working knowledge of PHP and WordPress basics (themes, plugins, CMS workflows)
- Experience building responsive, mobile-first web pages
- Familiarity with REST APIs and data formats (JSON/XML)
- Basic understanding of authentication/authorization concepts
- Hands-on with Git for version control
- Knowledge of MySQL or relational databases
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills
- Strong learning mindset with good communication and collaboration skills
