Job Description
Werkstudent Video Cutter creating short-form AI content for German businesses. Editing Reels, Shorts, and ads with CapCut, sound design, motion elements, and AI tools.
Responsibilities:
- Edit short, engaging videos for social media (Reels, Shorts, ads)
- Review hook-first raw footage and handle editing, sound design, text, and motion elements
- Integrate AI tools into the workflow to produce content faster and more creatively
- Work closely with Communications and Marketing on formats and series
- Use effects such as speed ramping and keyframes, or develop your skills in these areas
- Independently add B-roll at appropriate points, even when no footage is provided
Requirements:
- Enrolled at a German university through at least the summer semester of 2027 (studying Film, Audiovisual Media, Media Design, or a similar field) — or demonstrably strong editing skills
- A reel or portfolio of work showcasing your editing and sense of style (required)
- Confident using CapCut (must-have)
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro would be a plus, or a willingness to learn
- Independently add B-roll at the appropriate points — even when no footage is provided
- Strong sound design skills: precise music timing and clean audio levels
- Quick to grasp new concepts, open to feedback, and absolutely reliable with deadlines
- Willingness to integrate AI tools into your workflow as a standard part of your process
- A strong sense of style and genuine interest in AI content and tools
- Motion graphics skills are a bonus, preferably in Adobe After Effects (not required)
- Initial experience with speed ramping and keyframes
- Experience creating short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)
