Job Description
Accounting Manager handling German and Austrian bookkeeping, reporting, tax filings, and ERP implementation. Supporting Nexun’s solar and renewable-energy projects across Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage day-to-day accounting activities (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank accounting, etc.)
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Take responsibility for month-end close activities, reconciliations, and intercompany postings
- Reconcile accounts and resolve outstanding items
- Contribute to management reporting
- Prepare and submit advance VAT returns and other tax returns, ensuring compliance with local regulations
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements
- Continuously improve internal finance processes
- Actively contribute to the implementation of the new Odoo ERP system
- Report directly to the CFO in Lyon, France
Requirements:
- Completed commercial or business administration training, or an equivalent qualification (e.g., certified accountant or tax specialist)
- Several years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in a digital or dynamic environment
- Proficiency in accounting software (DATEV), ERP systems (Odoo), and MS Office
- Strong knowledge of monthly and annual financial statements prepared in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Precise, organized, and independent working style
- Excellent German and English skills
