Job Description
Accounting Specialist maintaining accurate financial records and supporting accounting functions at BlueAlly. Collaborating with the Director of Accounting to ensure smooth financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Create and distribute customer invoices accurately and timely.
- Work with sales and project management staff on invoicing questions and timelines.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments and seek assistance from other departments as necessary.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Post revenue entries and ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.
- Support ad hoc projects and assignments as directed by the Director of Accounting and Corporate Controller.
Requirements:
- Positive and professional attitude and presence.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA license preferred.
- Previous experience in customer invoicing.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in NetSuite preferred (not required).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
