Job Description
Actuarial Systems Consultant contributing to client projects in the life insurance industry. Engaging in both IT and actuarial tasks to optimize business processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Actively and proactively contribute to and lead demanding projects
- Understand and work with large-scale IT systems
- Confidently apply established and new methodological approaches to solve actuarial, business, and IT-technical challenges within existing system environments
- Take responsibility for key client assignments across Germany
- Maintain an outcome-oriented, end-to-end view from design through system test acceptance
- Stay at the forefront professionally and personally through continuing education
- Handle interesting, often highly challenging and varied tasks
- Successfully contribute your own ideas to the growing HBA service portfolio
Requirements:
- University degree in Mathematics or a related field
- DAV-qualified actuary or currently undergoing DAV actuarial training
- Interest in actuarial and legal/regulatory issues related to insurers' products and operational processes, and their optimized IT implementation
- Experience in an insurance or financial company, or in projects for such organizations
- Knowledge of policy administration systems, reporting/analytics tools, calculation engines, databases, and/or IT process architectures
- Good manners and strong interpersonal skills
- Enjoy project work and business travel
- Ambitious with a proactive approach to personal and professional development
- Strategic and entrepreneurial thinking
- Fluent German
