Job Description
Online adjunct faculty teaching Structured English Immersion for elementary education students at Christian Grand Canyon University. Facilitating discussions, grading, and supporting English Learner instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide program instruction in an online format
- Equip students with the required skill set
- Facilitate classroom discussions
- Assess student performance
- Prepare students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession
- Facilitate weekly main discussion forums in the online classroom
- Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
- Respond to students’ questions and emails within established timeframes
- Support the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission
Requirements:
- Minimum: Master’s degree in TESOL, Second Language Acquisition, Multicultural Education, Bilingual Education, Linguistics, or related field
- Two areas of exceptional expertise
- Valid state teacher certification in early childhood
- Endorsement in ESL or bilingual education
- Five years of experience teaching English Learners
- Employment contingent upon satisfactory pre-employment screening activities, including a background check
