Job Description
Adjunct History and Government faculty teaching courses at Cedarville University. Providing instruction, student feedback, and learning support online or residentially.
Responsibilities:
- Teach courses according to course objectives, syllabus, and department-developed content
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students
- Motivate and assist students in achieving course learning objectives
- Maintain academic credentials and expertise in the discipline taught
- Adhere to university instructional standards
- Instruct residentially or online in the Department of History and Government
- Provide instruction during the academic year
- Position subject to budget approval and Cedarville University policies
Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 credit hours completed in a relevant discipline at a Master’s level
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline preferred
- Expertise (e.g., relevant experience, research, publication) in the applicable discipline
- Documented successful teaching experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Competency in online delivery systems, with preference given to the Canvas LMS
- Must be a born-again Christian
- Must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards
- Subject to verification of credentials and other information required by law
- Successful completion of a background check required
