Job Description
AI/ML Manager at GDIT leading design and deployment of AI models for CMS. Driving innovation and operational readiness across environments while mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Own your opportunity to turn data into measurable outcomes for customers’ challenges
- Serve as the technical lead for AI/ML strategy, architecture, and implementation
- Design and deploy scalable AI/ML models in support of the CMS mission
- Lead development of predictive analytics and intelligent decision-support systems
- Provide oversight of data engineering pipelines and model lifecycle management (MLOps)
- Advise program leadership on emerging AI technologies and mission applications
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related technical field (Master’s or PhD preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in AI/ML, data science, software engineering, or related fields
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Java
- Deep understanding of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or Google Cloud acceptable)
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into secure enterprise environments
- Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three out of the last five years
