Job Description
AI Product Manager advancing enterprise AI strategy for Allogene Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech developing allogeneic CAR T therapies. Evaluating AI platforms, governing adoption, and enabling teams across regulated operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and advise on the enterprise AI product roadmap across business functions
- Identify, prioritize, and deliver AI use cases aligned with strategic objectives
- Evaluate and recommend AI vendor platforms and tools
- Lead proof-of-concept engagements and build business cases for adoption
- Define AI product requirements, success criteria, and rollout plans with IT, business stakeholders, and vendors
- Support cybersecurity and infrastructure reviews of AI tools and platforms
- Lead AI adoption, change management, user enablement, and governance initiatives
- Establish and maintain an AI governance framework covering risk, usage guidance, and compliance
- Collaborate with Corporate Systems teams on high-quality, governed data assets
- Serve as the primary IT liaison to R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, and Training teams
- Develop and deliver AI literacy training and enablement programs
- Maintain an AI use case registry tracking status, ROI metrics, and lessons learned
- Present AI program updates, roadmap progress, and recommendations to leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or related field, or relevant experience
- 8+ years of experience in product management, enterprise technology, or a related role in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience managing AI/ML or GenAI product initiatives, including vendor evaluation, tool deployment, and stakeholder alignment
- Strong understanding of large language model (LLM) platforms and generative AI technologies
- Hands-on experience evaluating or deploying leading enterprise AI solutions
- Working knowledge of GxP-adjacent environments and AI compliance considerations in clinical, regulatory, or quality contexts
- Experience working in or with biotech/pharma organizations
- Ability to translate AI capabilities into business outcomes and communicate tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and build cross-functional alignment
- Formal AI/ML training, certification, or equivalent professional development is a plus
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and enterprise AI security/compliance considerations, including GDPR and HIPPA, is a plus
