Job Description
Freelance Arabic (Gulf) voice contributor recording approximately 640 text prompts for RWS AI evaluation. Producing natural dialect recordings remotely to improve speech and language systems.
Responsibilities:
- Read approximately 640 provided text cards aloud and record them exactly as written
- Produce clear, natural, high-quality speech recordings according to provided guidelines
- Speak using a natural dialect and accent
- Ensure no words are added, omitted, or altered
- Re-record submissions if requested to meet quality standards
- Complete tasks using the internal recording platform
- Provide recordings for evaluation of spoken instructions and comparison with text-based instruction evaluations
- Contribute audio that may be reviewed and incorporated into datasets for AI research, development, testing, and improvement
Requirements:
- Native-level fluency in Arabic (Gulf)
- Authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the target dialect or accent through everyday use
- Advanced level of English to understand written instructions
- Ability to complete a trial voice recording to verify language variant and accent
- Must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own
- Experience with speech recording projects is an advantage, but not required
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain recording accuracy
- Quiet room or recording space with minimal background noise
- Computer microphone or headset with microphone
- Reliable internet connection
- Ability to access and use an online recording platform
