Job Description
Arabic (Gulf) voice contributor recording natural speech for RWS AI evaluation projects. Completing flexible, task-based recordings through RWS’s online platform.
Responsibilities:
- Read provided text cards aloud and record them exactly as written (approximately 640 cards per person)
- Produce clear, natural, and high-quality speech recordings following the provided guidelines and instructions
- Speak using your natural dialect and accent
- Ensure no words are added, omitted, or altered
- Re-record submissions if requested to meet quality standards
- Complete tasks using the internal recording platform
- Provide voice recordings to support evaluation and improvement of speech and language AI technologies
- Recordings may be reviewed and incorporated into datasets for research, development, testing, and improvement of AI systems
Requirements:
- Native-level fluency in Arabic (Gulf)
- Authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the target dialect or accent through everyday use
- Advanced level of English to understand written instructions
- Ability to complete a trial voice recording to verify language variant and accent
- Contributors must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own
- Experience with speech recording projects is an advantage, but not required
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain recording accuracy
- Quiet room or recording space with minimal background noise
- Computer microphone or headset with microphone
- Reliable internet connection
- Ability to access and use an online recording platform
