Job Description

Area Sales Manager responsible for achieving sales for Orthodontic products across South Indian markets. Engaging customers and managing sales processes effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual and quarterly sales targets for Orthodontic products in the assigned territory
  • Identify, develop, and convert new sales opportunities across Dental Clinics, Institutions (Dental Colleges & Hospitals), and Resellers
  • Record and actively manage opportunities in CRM to ensure consistent new business addition
  • Drive market penetration through repeat business, cross-selling, and introduction of new products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, channel partners, and institutional stakeholders
  • Work closely with Clinical Specialists and Scientific Affairs & Education teams to enhance customer engagement and gain competitive advantage
  • Plan, execute, and take ownership of customer training programs, workshops, and educational initiatives
  • Execute sales and marketing campaigns as defined by the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Marketing team
  • Implement territory-level strategies to drive category and overall sales growth
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide timely market intelligence
  • Coach, train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate Sales Executives to improve performance and retention
  • Provide regular and structured feedback to the Supervisor on team performance, key accounts, competitive movements, and market developments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of sales or marketing experience in Orthodontics, Dental, or Pharma industry
  • Proven experience interacting with healthcare professionals and detailing medical products supported by scientific evidence
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science / Pharmacy from a reputed institution; MBA or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Strong exposure to South Indian markets with demonstrated success in regional sales management
  • Willingness to travel extensively (12–15 days per month) across South Indian cities.
