Job Description

Area Sales Manager expanding Winpak’s innovative food and beverage packaging solutions across the Midwest. Developing sales opportunities, consultative customer relationships, and territory growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute multi-channel market development strategies to identify new customers, markets, and sales opportunities
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to create or grow prospect relationships and introduce new Winpak solutions
  • Partner with Marketing and internal teams to generate qualified sales opportunities
  • Execute a consultative sales approach based on customer and prospect challenges
  • Position Winpak’s integrated value proposition, including hardware, consumables, services, and packaging solutions
  • Demonstrate total cost of ownership, ROI, and long-term value to customers
  • Build multi-level relationships with key customer decision-makers
  • Manage customer order changes, timelines, and product specifications
  • Prepare and process customer orders to meet production and shipping expectations
  • Maintain pricing consistency according to published guidelines or customer quotations
  • Collaborate with the Winpak Graphics Department on customer graphic requests
  • Assist with receivables collection and complete expense reports accurately and on time
  • Communicate order and requirement changes to customers and internal teams
  • Address customer complaints and coordinate corrective action
  • Adhere to budgets and company policies while traveling within the assigned territory
  • Maximize sales opportunities, provide sales forecasts, and attend trade shows and seminars

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, closing deals, and meeting or exceeding sales targets within a food and beverage market
  • 3+ years of experience building long-term client relationships in a B2B environment
  • 2+ years of experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track sales activity, customer interactions, and sales pipeline is an asset
  • Able to travel as required, up to 50% of the time, within the assigned territory
  • 3+ years of experience in the packaging industry is preferred
  • Experience supporting food and beverage products is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with internal teams such as production, logistics, and sales support is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required for travel purposes
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, especially Business, Marketing, Packaging Engineering, or equivalent
