Job Description

Data Solution Architect leading Mashreq Global Services' Information Management–Data Warehouse department. Designing Databricks Lakehouse solutions, enterprise data models, streaming systems, and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Information Management- Data Warehouse department, providing strategic direction and vision.
  • Architect and design scalable data warehouse solutions using Databricks Lakehouse and other cloud technologies.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data models and data lakes, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Implement real-time streaming and graph analytics solutions to enhance data processing and analysis capabilities.
  • Ensure data security and governance by establishing robust data protection measures and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Mentor and guide a team of data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency gains.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, fostering a collaborative environment for data-related projects.
  • Ensure the department's alignment with Mashreq Global Services' overall business objectives and strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, with a proven track record in leading large-scale data warehouse projects.
  • Expertise in Databricks Lakehouse, Cloud Data Engineering, and Enterprise Data Architecture is a must.
  • In-depth knowledge of data modelling, data lake architecture, and real-time streaming technologies.
  • Experience with Informatica and other data integration tools, as well as BI tools for data visualization.
  • Strong understanding of data security and governance principles, with the ability to implement robust data protection measures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of data professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach, able to identify and address complex data-related challenges.
  • Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred.
