Job Description
Workers’ compensation associate attorney managing employee injury cases for Abramson Labor Group, an employment and workers’ compensation law firm. Handling depositions, negotiations, client communications, and case resolution remotely in California.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a docket of workers’ compensation cases to resolution
- Prepare clients for depositions
- Attend depositions
- Invoice depositions
- Respond to client inquiries requiring attorney negotiations and move matters toward resolution
- Respond to incoming emails and phone calls
- Provide direction and guidance to non-attorneys as needed
- Report directly to an assigned Senior Associate
- Collaborate substantively and administratively with paralegals and support staff
- Participate in team events during and after work hours
- Provide feedback to management to improve client service and firm performance
Requirements:
- Candidates MUST be California State Barred and reside in the state of California
- Newly barred attorneys or attorneys who have taken the February 2025 Bar are encouraged to apply
- Candidates must be in good standing with the California State Bar
- Comfortable with fast-paced work environments
- Doctors' deposition experience (preferred)
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Degree required
