Job Description
Freelance translator translating and proofreading Clinical Trial Agreements from English into Traditional Chinese (Taiwan). Supporting TransPerfect’s international clinical legal clients.
Responsibilities:
- Translate and proofread documents for clients in the Clinical Legal sectors
- Translate English into Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) for Clinical Trial Agreement materials
- Create and finalize translation deliverables before client submission
- Work under manager guidance and collaborate with Project Managers
- Complete translation and proofreading tests to evaluate skills
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Traditional Chinese (Taiwan)
- Specialized in clinical legal translation
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Ability to maintain professionalism under tight deadlines
- Asian time zone preferred
- Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement
- Applicants must complete free Translation and Proofreading tests
- Applicants must undergo a background check
- One of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent degree with significant translation training) from a recognized higher-education institution; 2 years of translation experience and a college degree; 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body
- CV must include relevant Translation and Proofreading experience and proposed Translation per-word and Proofreading hourly rates in USD
