Job Description
Remote At-Risk Teacher working at West Virginia Virtual Academy to support at-risk students' academic goals. Providing individualized education through a K12 curriculum and collaboration with a school team.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the “At-Risk” student population
- Provides remediation to support academic goals
- Modifies/adapts the K12 curriculum
- Collaborates with general education teachers
- Educates parents on various instructional strategies
- Oversees data collection and progress monitoring
- Works with the special education team
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Active state teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
- Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours
