Job Description
Auto Adjuster investigating automobile accidents and resolving coverage, liability, and damages claims for National General. Supporting fraud and subrogation outcomes while managing auto claims independently from investigation through negotiation.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents
- Determine coverage, liability, and damages
- Adjust and negotiate claims within limit of authority
- Partner with fraud or subrogation representatives to achieve the best outcome
- Recognize and identify vehicle body parts and other potential property damage
- Identify customer needs and address them using appropriate customer service skills
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and appropriate handling
- Apply intermediate understanding of company and industry insurance policies
- Investigate all aspects of auto claims, including coverage, damages, and subrogation, using discretion and independence
- Manage claims from start to finish
- Work independently while contributing to a supportive team
Requirements:
- Experience conducting liability investigations, reviewing coverage, and managing claims from start to finish
- Intermediate understanding of insurance policies and industry practices
- Knowledge of vehicle body parts and potential property damage
- Ability to investigate coverage, damages, and subrogation aspects of auto claims
- Ability to exercise discretion and independence within increased authority limits
- Must possess authorization to work in the United States
- Applicants with an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and cannot hold outside appointments during employment
- Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed by the licensing team
- Dedicated, private home workspace free from distractions
