Job Description
Auto Adjuster investigating coverage, liability, damages, and fraud for National General’s automobile insurance claims. Negotiating resolutions while serving customers remotely across eligible U.S. states.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for basic automobile accidents
- Determine coverage, liability, and damages using analytical thinking
- Adjust and negotiate claims within limits of authority
- Handle investigations covering most aspects of auto claims
- Review, evaluate, and negotiate basic injury claims when applicable
- Identify vehicle body parts and potential property damage
- Identify customer needs and provide appropriate customer service
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and appropriate handling
- Work through auto claims investigations and resolution across Northeastern states
- Collaborate within a fast-paced claims organization
- Perform no supervisory duties
Requirements:
- Experienced Auto Adjuster with a strong background in coverage verification and liability determination
- Basic understanding of insurance policies, the insurance industry, and organizational relationships
- Ability to investigate auto claims involving coverage, liability, and damages with limited discretion
- Ability to review, evaluate, and negotiate basic injury claims when handled
- Ability to recognize vehicle body parts and understand potential property damage
- Customer service skills
- Ability to determine subrogation or fraud potential and appropriate handling
- Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and must not hold outside appointments during employment
- Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender it when instructed by the licensing team
- Authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided
- Candidates must be located in one of the specified U.S. states and work in Eastern or Central Time Zone states
- Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
