Job Description
Backend Software Developer responsible for Ruby on Rails API development and Elasticsearch integration for PatentVest's international patent records platform. Collaborating on cloud services and data synchronization processes.
Responsibilities:
- Designs and implements scalable JSON API endpoints using Ruby on Rails API-only mode across multiple namespaces.
- Builds and optimizes Elasticsearch queries for large-scale data retrieval and analytics.
- Works with PostgreSQL, manages model relationships, and optimizes query performance.
- Maintains JWT-based authentication and secure API patterns.
- Develops and maintains Sidekiq background jobs for async processing.
- Integrates with AWS services.
- Maintains integration with external data providers using HTTP / SFTP / FTP / RESTful clients.
- Writes and maintains RSpec tests and REST API documentation.
- Maintains Docker builds and CI/CD pipeline.
Requirements:
- 3-5 year of professional backend development experience with Ruby on Rails or any other similar framework in a production environment.
- Experience with data-intensive applications or search systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software-Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Certifications in Cloud (AWS) and/or Data Architecture/Engineering
- English C1, Spanish C1
