Job Description

Inside Broker placing specialty wholesale insurance through phone-based sales and carrier negotiations. Supporting agents, executing new and renewal business, and meeting brokerage production goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute new and renewal business activity by quoting, placing, binding, and confirming policies within established guidelines
  • Market insurance products by identifying appropriate coverage solutions through accessible markets for less complex risks
  • Negotiate coverage terms with carriers within defined underwriting and pricing parameters
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for agents on assigned accounts
  • Manage communication and respond to inquiries in a high-volume environment
  • Ensure accuracy of submissions and policy information, including risk details and coverage structure
  • Monitor assigned accounts for compliance with company policies, procedures, and underwriting standards
  • Drive transactional deal flow and contribute to overall team production goals

Requirements:

  • English language fluency required
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation preferred
  • Experience within wholesale insurance, including quoting, placement, or account management responsibilities
  • Experience expectations increase across the career path toward more complex deal execution and broader market responsibility
  • Appropriate state-specific insurance license required
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting concepts, and market placement practices
  • Ability to analyze risk information and match coverage solutions within defined guidelines
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows with speed and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Proficiency in systems and tools used to support quoting, placement, and servicing activities
