Job Description
Join our team as a Mid-Level Business Analyst in Portugal, working on impactful projects in financial services. Collaborate with stakeholders in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
Responsibilities:
- You will be joining our engineering team and will be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to define scope, processes, and solutions
- Elicit, document, and prioritise business and functional requirements
- Create and maintain process documentation (e.g. BPMN, flows, user journeys)
- Support delivery teams with backlog refinement, estimation, and clarification
- Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Act as the bridge between business and technical teams
- Contribute across the full delivery lifecycle — from discovery to release and support
- Work across both Agile and Waterfall projects, adapting to different delivery models
- Support change management, user training, and adoption where needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a tech or consultancy environment
- Experience within financial services or insurance (essential)
- Strong understanding of business analysis practices (e.g. BPMN, MoSCoW, process mapping)
- Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Comfortable working on multiple projects or streams simultaneously
- Fluent in English
