Job Description

Join our team as a Mid-Level Business Analyst in Portugal, working on impactful projects in financial services. Collaborate with stakeholders in both Agile and Waterfall environments.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be joining our engineering team and will be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to define scope, processes, and solutions
  • Elicit, document, and prioritise business and functional requirements
  • Create and maintain process documentation (e.g. BPMN, flows, user journeys)
  • Support delivery teams with backlog refinement, estimation, and clarification
  • Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Act as the bridge between business and technical teams
  • Contribute across the full delivery lifecycle — from discovery to release and support
  • Work across both Agile and Waterfall projects, adapting to different delivery models
  • Support change management, user training, and adoption where needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a tech or consultancy environment
  • Experience within financial services or insurance (essential)
  • Strong understanding of business analysis practices (e.g. BPMN, MoSCoW, process mapping)
  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Comfortable working on multiple projects or streams simultaneously
  • Fluent in English
