Job Description
Business Analyst improving provider data quality for Gainwell’s healthcare technology clients. Gathering requirements, supporting IT projects, and validating technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and execute work with a specialized team of business analysts driving advanced quality initiatives
- Lead IT projects moving data quality upstream
- Nurture newer team members by providing guidance
- Act as a bridge between clients and technical teams to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to define key specifications and business outcomes at the start of technical projects
- Analyze, plan, design, document or recommend improvements to business and quality processes supporting client technology goals
- Verify requirements have been met by approving and validating test results
- Research client business objectives and data requirements to ensure developed products meet client needs
- Communicate with clients about data-related discrepancies and other significant matters to obtain information and correct errors
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in Business Analyst, Managed care, Provider, Claims adjudication, Medicaid or Medicare
- At least 2-3 years working experience in Managed care Module
- 6+ years of business functional experience in one or more areas such as Eligibility, Claims, Provider
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Ability to write complex queries
- Ability to gather requirements effectively
- Ability to document requirements and confirm observations with business owners
- Ability to perform fit/gap analysis based on requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Office Tools, specifically Excel
- Ability to create detailed and thorough design documents and test plans/execution for medium to large initiatives
- Ability to research, analyze, validate and document business requirements
