Job Description
Business Architect translating subscription billing models into Zuora data requirements for Applaudo’s AI-powered business solutions. Guiding finance stakeholders and integration teams through legacy accounting system transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Translate the billing model in Zuora into actionable data requirements for the integration team
- Lead business analysis for scope not covered by Zuora’s professional services, including custom billing rules, revenue recognition, and reporting
- Guide finance and business stakeholders through transformation from a legacy accounting system to Zuora
- Interpret Zuora’s data model and billing logic to unblock the integration team
- Act as a partial platform advisor rather than a full platform administrator
- Facilitate decisions and trade-off conversations with the controller and finance stakeholders
- Maintain stakeholder communication and technical context continuity during a planned handover or coverage period
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis
- Strong subscription and billing domain knowledge, covering recurring revenue, invoicing, and the payment lifecycle
- Data literacy, including the ability to read pipeline logic, validate data flows, and QA outputs
- Stakeholder facilitation skills, including running workshops, producing decision docs, and framing trade-offs for technical and non-technical audiences
- Prior ERP or accounting system migration or transformation experience
- Ability to ramp up independently and learn a new billing platform’s data model and business context with minimal oversight
- Advanced conversational English
- Executive-facing communication skills sufficient to work directly with a US-based controller and finance team
- Zuora platform familiarity across billing, revenue, and CPQ modules
- GCP ecosystem awareness, including BigQuery, Looker, and Data Studio
- Familiarity with change management frameworks such as ADKAR or Kotter
- Zuora Certified Administrator or Revenue Analyst certification
