Job Description
Business Technical Analyst developing Power BI dashboards and technical solutions for Centene’s healthcare operations. Analyzing business processes, databases, and systems to improve care-supporting applications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide functional business knowledge and technical support through ad hoc analysis/reporting and the design and programming of new processes/reports
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards
- Act as subject matter expert for department or business unit business systems/applications
- Analyze company functions, processes, and activities to improve computer-based business applications
- Perform application/system design and implementation
- Document development requirements
- Consult with end users to test and debug applications
- Develop ad hoc reports for data analysis and validation
- Analyze operational procedures and trends to identify problems
- Conduct business analysis and recommend technical alternatives to management
- Research, evaluate, and assess the financial impact of data/process issues
- Support, troubleshoot, and maintain systems and applications
- Analyze requirements and problems to automate or improve business systems
- Create multiuser, real-time database solutions
- Provide expertise in requirements solicitation, system analysis, technical design, programming, and documentation
- Monitor and report departmental project status to management; identify issues and implement corrective actions and mitigation strategies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all policies and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Equivalent work experience in technical data analysis, conducting system analysis meetings, developing system design documents, developing project plans with achievable milestones and deadlines, and mediating different department demands to gain approvals on system scope and design
- 2+ years of experience in relevant programming including SAS, SQL, VB.NET, Oracle or Python and Power BI dashboard development
- 3+ years of experience in related business analysis
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in Healthcare
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in ASP/ASP.NET
- Preferred: Master's degree in a related field, which may be considered in lieu of some required experience (not to exceed 2 years)
- Preferred: Other SAS Certification
