Job Description
Civil Compliance Officer handling design and compliance for civil works projects in the Philippines. Collaborating with teams to ensure project delivery and adherence to regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide drafting/design services, technical advice, and documentation support across civil works projects.
- Focus on post‑construction documentation, inspection checklists, and authority lodgments.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure smooth project flow.
- Report weekly on task allocation hours and progress.
- Uphold Environmental, WH&S, and internal business management standards.
- Deliver allocated work in a timely, cost‑effective, and efficient manner.
- Strive to achieve strategic goals set by management.
- Confirm scope of work and client requirements.
- Review project data requirements early to avoid delays.
- Deliver products/services in line with project specifications.
- Prepare drafting/design drawings and specifications for: Earthworks, Sediment & erosion control, Geometric design (roads, carparks, etc.), Pavement design (flexible & rigid), Stormwater drainage (pipes, channels, detention basins, water quality systems), Sewerage reticulation, Water reticulation.
- Prepare bills of quantities and tender documentation.
- Manage tender distribution and review.
- Develop inspection and test checklists for each project.
- Coordinate team attendance for civil works inspections.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, surveyors, and authorities.
- Review construction documentation and prepare “As Constructed” drawings/packages.
- Manage Urban Utilities processes for Standard and Minor Works applications.
- Prepare “On Maintenance” reports and lodge compliance packages with local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental and WH&S requirements.
- Take responsibility for adherence to Civil Works Engineers’ Business Management systems.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Solid understanding of AutoCAD and good working knowledge of Civil 3D.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all technical deliverables.
- 3+ years’ experience in civil works design, drafting, or related engineering disciplines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrate initiative, and adapt flexibly.
- Strong understanding of civil infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, utilities, subdivisions).
- Ability to work under limited supervision while maintaining high-quality output.
- Desire to be part of a diverse, high-performing, and collaborative team.
- High level of initiative, organisational skill, and professional ethics.
- Proactive mindset, able to anticipate challenges and take ownership of solutions.
