Job Description

Clinical Systems Analyst II/Systems Analyst III designing and implementing medical information systems. Requires collaboration with healthcare teams and users while providing training and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, development, implementation, modification and evaluation of health care information systems.
  • Recommend automated and manual solutions to enhance system functionality.
  • Participate in Project teams associated with the development and implementation of clinical systems.
  • Interact with end-users as required to assist in problem definition and system design.
  • Coordinate and perform education and end-user training programs to assure systems are utilized as designed.
  • Develop end-user documentation or a permanent reference for clear, concise information.
  • Provide implementation assistance for system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Assist with system build, data validation and system testing.
  • Manage projects.
  • Coordinate on-site systems administration and support activities.
  • Define training requirements for end-users and project team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and three years of applicable hospital or major medical center clinical experience or two years of recent experience supporting a major clinical information system
  • Associate’s degree and five years of relevant experience
  • High School diploma/GED and six or more years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree and two years of experience
  • Familiar with the processes and procedures related to health care regulatory agencies
  • In depth knowledge of clinical theory and practice
  • Technical certification may be required
  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within six months of position start date
  • In-depth knowledge of Cleveland Clinic revenue cycle processes/workflows
  • Certification in Epic applications related to revenue cycle
  • EpicCare Ambulatory certification
