Job Description
Product Systems Engineer Sr. Principal - Lead role managing IHS EHR program activities and ensuring technology solutions meet healthcare professionals' needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow a Product Systems Engineering team.
- Support Deployment team efforts in implementing Oracle Health (Cerner) solutions across IHS facilities.
- Support Sustainment team efforts in ensuring IHS facilities are operational and current in technology.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud Hosting, and Cybersecurity teams.
- Understand and manage technical design of GDIT-managed systems.
- Identify systems architecture patterns that align with FedRAMP controls.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure alignment with NIST CSF and agency policies.
- Lead efforts to deploy Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations activities.
- Implement policies for system-to-system connections management.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for new vendor capabilities.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of related experience
- Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium EHR software suite
- Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of equivalent work experience
- Ability to lead a technical team of 3-6 employees
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve successful outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
- Ability to travel 25% of the year, if needed
