Job Description

Product Systems Engineer Sr. Principal - Lead role managing IHS EHR program activities and ensuring technology solutions meet healthcare professionals' needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a Product Systems Engineering team.
  • Support Deployment team efforts in implementing Oracle Health (Cerner) solutions across IHS facilities.
  • Support Sustainment team efforts in ensuring IHS facilities are operational and current in technology.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud Hosting, and Cybersecurity teams.
  • Understand and manage technical design of GDIT-managed systems.
  • Identify systems architecture patterns that align with FedRAMP controls.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure alignment with NIST CSF and agency policies.
  • Lead efforts to deploy Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations activities.
  • Implement policies for system-to-system connections management.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for new vendor capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium EHR software suite
  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of equivalent work experience
  • Ability to lead a technical team of 3-6 employees
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve successful outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the year, if needed
