Job Description
Assistant Quantity Surveyor supporting commercial delivery for United Infrastructure’s UK utility and social infrastructure projects. Managing measurements, billing, subcontractors, and project cost reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial team and contribute to its success across the full lifecycle of each project
- Support contract management in line with JCT and NEC 3/4 (Options A & C)
- Support subcontractor negotiations, payments, and performance tracking
- Deliver accurate and timely completed works measures and billing processes
- Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and generate Earned Value Analysis reports
- Maintain robust commercial documentation
Requirements:
- Experience with NHF SoR Rates or similar Bespoke SoR Rates
- Familiarity with the construction industry
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 (grade C or above), including Maths, English, and ideally a Science
- Any previous Level 4 related qualification or equivalent discipline is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
- Basic understanding of standard methods of measurement
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility
- Willingness to take responsibility for own development and extend knowledge of software packages
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
