Job Description
Communications Officer at WUSC responsible for bilingual communications and content production. Seeking a skilled bilingual communicator to ensure quality and consistency across diverse communication channels.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and review content to ensure high-quality, bilingual communications
- Write, edit, and proofread materials, ensuring consistency and accuracy while maintaining the brand’s voice and tone
- Translate key content and support a global team with communication resources
- Oversee quality control for all bilingual communications published across corporate channels
- Translate select communication products, including blog posts and press releases
- Support the development and implementation of WUSC’s corporate editorial calendar
- Monitor project and country communications materials to ensure they accurately represent WUSC
- Create resources and develop workshops to help build team capacity
Requirements:
- University degree in a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in communications
- Experience working for a non-profit and/or in international development is preferred
- Superior research, writing, and editing skills in English and French is essential
- Strong computer skills (e.g. Google Suite) is essential
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Very organized with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work with and protect confidential information
- Complete fluency in English and French is required
- Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
